Volunteer

Are you interested in helping West Wisconsin Land Trust in your spare time? We are looking for volunteers to assist in several areas:

Conservation Easement Monitors: Every year, WWLT must visit each of the privately-owned properties on which we hold conservation easements, in order to ensure compliance with the terms of the easement. Volunteers will be asked to attend a monitor training session, and commit to visiting two properties each year. Ideally, volunteers would monitor the same properties year after year to maintain consistency.

Outreach/Event Assistant: Staff and volunteers frequently exhibit WWLT information at local fairs and festivals throughout our region. Volunteers are needed to assist with booth set-up, as well as staffing during the event.

Volunteers also help with:

  • Preserve maintenance
  • Monitoring streams
  • Photography
  • Writing (newsletter articles, letters to the editor, etc.)
  • Data entry
  • Carpentry

If you are interested in any of the volunteer opportunities described above, you may download the volunteer application form and mail it in. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 715-235-8850.
