Board and Staff

Rick Gauger, Executive Director: Rick first joined West Wisconsin Land Trust in 1997 as a Board member, and became Executive Director in 1999. In addition to his administrative duties, Rick frequently makes presentations to civic groups and works with conservation buyers. Rick lives with his wonderful wife Marilyn and four children Julie, Stephen, Susanna and John on a small grass based beef farm outside of Menomonie. An avid outdoors person Rick enjoys all types of sports and recreation.

Edith Kadlec, Associate Director: Edith rejoined West Wisconsin Land Trust in June 2007, as Associate Director, in charge of organizational effectiveness. Her responsibilities include organizational development, human resources, bookkeeping, and staff supervision. Edith's favorite pastimes include running, biking, fly-fishing, and the performing arts. |

Rick Remington, Director of Land Programs: Rick joined West Wisconsin Land Trust in September of 2002. He manages all aspects of the land program, which includes land protection, management and restoration of owned properties, and stewardship of conserved properties. In his spare time, Rick enjoys "silent sports", gardening, and spending time outdoors with his wife and dog. |

Britta Kelly, Land Program Specialist: Britta joined West Wisconsin Land Trust in May of 2004. She studied Land Use Planning at UW- River Falls. Britta assists in Conservation Agreement drafting, grant writing, GIS mapping, property restoration and visits for baseline documentation and monitoring for compliance. In her spare time, Britta enjoys yoga, housework, playing softball, coaching little league baseball, and spending time with her husband and cats. |

Jane Anklam, Land Program Specialist: A soil and water conservationist working throughout Wisconsin for many years with the USDA-NRCS, Jane Anklam began working with West Wisconsin Land Trust in July of 2004. She serves the most northern parts of WWLT's region. Along with her family she enjoys cross-country skiing, biking and kayaking throughout the northwoods.

Bill Hogseth, Stewardship Specialist: Bill Hogseth initially came to West Wisconsin Land Trust as a volunteer and joined the staff in June, 2007. He studied environmental studies-ecological restoration at Northland College in Ashland, WI. Bill assists with the stewardship, monitoring and management of WWLT's conserved properties. In his spare time, Bill enjoys listening to all kinds of music, eating spicy food, and roaming the woods. |

Bill Dingwall, Director of Education Programs: Bill joined West Wisconsin Land Trust in June of 2005. He developed and implemented the new Education Program, and leads all outdoor education classes. In his spare time, Bill enjoys cooking (especially over a fire) and spending time outdoors with family.

Nancy Toedt: Nancy came to West Wisconsin Land Trust in August 2007. She is working on a project in cooperation with the National Park Service, to update the information on scenic easements within the Wisconsin side of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. She has a B.A. from Augsburg College and lives with her husband John on 80 acres in Pepin County, where they are busy planting trees and establishing native grasses and flowers.

Jennifer Dippel:
Working towards her B.S. in conservation biology, Jennifer is certified in wildlife immobilization, and has worked as a High Adventure instructor. Jennifer is a native of White Bear Lake, MN, and will be assisting the WWLT Education and Stewardship programs through AmeriCorps service. Jennifer's interests include birding, scrapbooking, hiking, and any activity that can be done outdoors.
